The service
TransferIt lets you upload files, package them into a transfer, and give other people a link to download them for a limited time. Sending requires an account, free or paid. Receiving does not: anyone holding a link can download what was sent to them, and anyone asked to sign a document can sign it, without signing up.
Your files stay yours
You keep every right to what you upload. You give us only what’s needed to store it, deliver it, scan it for malware, and remove it when the transfer ends.
What you may not send
Nothing illegal in the UK or where you are; nothing you don’t have the right to share; no malware; and nothing sent to people who haven’t agreed to receive it. We may block or remove a transfer that breaks this, and close accounts that do it repeatedly. Anyone can report a transfer from its download page.
Expiry and deletion
Transfers end on the expiry you chose, when a download cap is hit, or when you delete them. Once a transfer has ended its files are removed from storage and cannot be recovered. Keep your own copy of anything you send.
Paid plans
Monthly plans are billed in advance through your app store, or by card if you subscribed on the web, and can be cancelled at any time; you keep the plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. If a payment fails, the account returns to the free plan and its limits after a grace period. Prices may change with notice by email.
The Lifetime plan is a single payment for access that lasts as long as TransferIt exists as a service — “lifetime” means the life of the product, not yours. It carries its own storage limit and link lifetime, which are shown before you pay and may not be raised later. Seats are limited and it may be withdrawn from sale at any time; anyone who has already bought it keeps it. If the service is ever discontinued, you will be told by email with enough notice to retrieve what you have stored.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously but don’t promise it. Sending may be paused for maintenance; existing transfers stay downloadable wherever possible. The service is provided as it is, and our liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the twelve months before a claim, except where the law doesn’t allow that limit.
Accounts
You’re responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Use a password you don’t use elsewhere. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from Settings at any time.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, account holders get an email first. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new terms.
